Barium M-Hexaferrite BaFe12O19 Based on Magnetic Properties and Microwafe Absorption

Barium M-hexaferite is a material which has the potential to be developed as magnetic needed in various fields of application. Various methods have been used produce this material, but general these require heating at relatively high temperatures. This research was conducted characterize properties and microwave absorption barium M-hexaferrite synthesized using coprecipitation method by sintering low Synthesis carried out BaCO3, FeCl3. 6H2O, HCl, NH4OH. The results were dried light bulb temperature 850C, then sintered 3000C with variations holding times 1 hour, 3 hours 5 hours. materials tested VSM, while characterized VNA. From VSM test results, it can determined that highest remanence magnetization coercivity values found samples for hours, namely Mr 0.103 emu/gram Hc 0.058 Tesla. Meanwhile, from testing microwaves VNA, largest reflection loss value sample calcined 52.4 dB or equivalent an 99% frequency 11 GHz. result into good absorbent material.
